Rahm Emanuels missing middle finger.

Rahm Emanuel is by far my biggest Political crush. But lookie lookie people...he is missing a digit. He lost it in a meat-cutting machine while working at a fast food joint in high school.

Ryan McGinley

I met with my SVA mentor Ryan McGinley yesterday. I went in with the most positive attitude i could, considering i have never been a huge fan of his work. It always seemed to be part of the snapshot aesthetic that i just cant relate to. But we met and i think he is Fantastic!!! I am still apprehensive about a lot of his pictures. We are like complete opposites. His photographs have energy and make you want to run around naked, and mine make you want to lay down and get naked.
Also, he has a glorious bathtub on a pedestal that is surrounded by cacti.
Not to mention the most perfect Skin i have ever seen in my entire life!

Dearly Beloved

We are gathered here today to say our goodbyes to a dear sweet Philippino Boy who one day popped into my life. And now just as quickly as he appeared his will vanishing into the Westy Sun stricken valley of California. I will remember the time he brought me to see Amy Arbus and our post-raffle lunches. HE TAUGHT ME THE MEANING OF THE HASSELBLAD

TO ILLICRACKER.

You Shall be missed!!!

Hiatus

I am leaving this evening to spend a week with my sisters and Madre upstate in New Paltz. I hope for lots of snow and that i will return with lots of photographs. I have been dreaming of making a snow photograph of my little sister!

Found this festive photograph on Amy Elkins Blog, and thought it quite amazing. And relevant, even though both myself and Mrs. Arbus are Jewish.

Santas for Everyone.
